Wagon. Falling. Ouch.

Been in a real slump lately. Fallen into old meat eating habits; fried chicken, Italian subs, hamburgers, even Chinese food and it’s all been delivered and consumed alone at home. I have surpassed my earlier lowest points. Ugh. So today I am changing it up, cleaning the house and making empanada. Soyrizo potato empanadas to be exact. So what if I’m in a huge fight with the BFF, totally lonely and sex deprived, and have a house filled with injured pets, I’m going to put it all behind me with cooking the pain away.

Emo Eating Goes Green

So I am totally in the weeds with school.  I have at least 10 hours of work to do on a single project that is due Thursday!!!  Yet here I am blogging about my emotional eating, that I was doing because I am overwhelmed by this project.  Funny stuff.  So last night I ate a box of Annies gluten free mac n cheese that I made with tofu sour cream and soy milk, (yeah I know there was actual dairy in the mac n cheese) followed by two bowls of corn chex with soy milk and a binge on nerds.  Going veg head does not protect me from over indulgence.

Kale, Honey Dew, Strawberry (not too much fruit, can’t handle the sugar high), Oat Bran, Aloe Juice and Plain Greek Yogurt.  Not my favorite, but high in protein and fiber so a great way for me to start my day.

Udi’s Gluten Free Bread with Tofurkey Hickory slices and hummus, miso mayo, avocado, red bell pepper, cucumber and lettuce served with pecan crackers. Hella yumtastic for sure. I ain’t afraid of no veg-head lifestyle. I’m embracing this like a fat kid does a bucket of chicken.

Ahhhh Morning

After a night if yummy vegetarian food, dicumentary, and an amazing BFF I’m waking up in a wonderful mood. Day 3 of my lifestyle change and so far my carnivorous tendencies seem to be losing out to my will to live! Watching “forks over knives” again helped solidify my resolve. Meat is sorta grossing me out all if a sudden. I have found homes for all the meat products and went shopping and filled my deli drawer with quick to fix meatless options like tofurkey slices and Quorn patties. I’m even on my period and not craving salty fatty foods. I’m really excited about the smoothie I’m making for bfst. Still feeding the furry beasts chicken though. This is not a political choice but a health one.
